This unique glasses store project breaks away from the conventional design, offering a fresh and modern ambiance. The combination of wood patterns and waterstone materials creates a dignified yet refreshing visual effect, while stainless steel accents correspond to the metallic elements of the glasses, adding a touch of professionalism and fashion.
The spatial layout of the store presents a challenge due to its long and narrow shape. However, the design overcomes this limitation by incorporating an open sentiment while providing ample storage space to display numerous branded product models.
The visual space is extended through the clever use of bevel designs at the entrance and lines on the walls, enticing customers to explore the store. Additionally, all products are displayed above waist height, reducing visual clutter and allowing for a more focused and clear visual effect. Rhythmic long and short planks, reminiscent of the markings on a calibration, add variation and separation without compromising the overall spatial harmony.
The Aesthetics of Calibration project was completed in July 2020 in Macau. Throughout the design process, emphasis was placed on sustainability and eco-friendliness. The elevated position of the entrance maximizes natural sunlight, enhancing indoor lighting. LED lights were chosen to conserve energy, and eco-friendly wallpapers were used to minimize the environmental impact. The design also prioritizes natural ventilation and lighting, ensuring a comfortable and eco-conscious space.
The Aesthetics of Calibration project received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award recognizes the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and providing a fulfilling and positive experience for customers.
